We play at The Glenn at the Backyard in Austin tonight. We played in Austin many, many times before but this venue is very first time to play. So, we are very looking forward. |
|
Nice pathway from entrance to field which we play. It is very, very hot in temperature in daytime.
We loaded in at 4:30 pm for 7 pm show-time. A brave girl is fixing the lights, wow, please don't fell off. |
|
We have a guest mandolin player, Suzanne plays on Whitewater. Nice to have her for change. It was very, very hot during sound check, it feels like more than 104 F, (40 C) and strings on guitar is too hot to push sometime.
One of cabin is out backstage. We don't warm up in the air-conditioned room for tuning sake because temperature is so different. |
|
Very, very nice audiences they are at The Glenn! Thank you very much for coming and see you again!
We played two sets tonight. |

On I-35 from Dallas to Austin, we stopped for lunch at some BBQ restaurant and I had Ham and Sausage plate. There are many track drivers eating here.
We stay at Extended Stay Inn in north part of Austin. There are a coffee shop and an ice cream shop within walking distance, that is good. |
|
We drove 189 miles (304 km) from Dallas yesterday, that was nothing. But, I have a flight at 8:30 am tomorrow morning to Japan, so my good friend Bruce pick me up at 6:00 am to bring me to airport, that is something. Thank you, Bruce! |
