The California Symphony plays at Dean Lesher Regional Center for the Arts in Walnut Creek, CA at 4:00 pm today. This is last program of Symphoney's 19th Season.

CGT is invited as guest for this program and we play Jon Anderson's Concerto Uno, The Marsh, Melrose Ave and Blockhead with Symphony together.

CGT Rehearsals

(May 3 - May 5, 2006)

We met in San Francisco downtown and we had 3 days of rehearsals in hotel room to prepare for upcoming performances.

To meet with Barry Jekowsky

(May 6, 2006) 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm

We met Barry the conductor and music director of the California Symphony very first time at 1:00 pm and immediately went into rehearsal with him.

(May 6, 2006) 2:00 pm tp 4:30 pm

Orchestra people were back from their lunch brake and had first rehearsal with CGT.@It was very first time to play With Symphony, and Conductor in front of us. We were little bit puzzled and so hard to sync with symphony.

Rehearsal with CGT #2

(May 7, 2006) 11:40 am - 12:40 pm

The day of gig, we had second rehearsal with Symphony. The music was getting better than yesterday and now ready? for performance.

World Premiere Performance

(May 7, 2006) 4:00 pm

The performance started at 4:05 pm and CGT was on after their first piece, and CGT and Symphony played together for very first time for the public. CGT had encore set and played Prelude Circulation and Bohemian Rhapsody. The very nice audiences were on their feet at end of our set........what a relief!

Food of the Day

I went to Burmese Restaurant for my first time during rehearsals in San Francisco. This is Ginger Salad which I never had it before and taste good and followed by more interesting dishes.

Hotel of the Day

We stay at Marriott hotel in Walnut Creek, CA for next four days. Bart is talking to Stan Funiceilli the arranger, Stan arranged all the pieces to fit with Symphony, thank you.

Travelin' Musician

I made a flight on May 2nd from Narita to San Francisco, 5124 miles (8246 km) on the air. The time difference is 16 hours behind here. So, 2 pm in afternoon here means 6 am in Japan next day.
