Downtown Salt Lake City. Many of the large buildings downtown have been decorated with Olympic Athletes. Today is the day before the Olympics officially begin. I took a walk around downtown and here are some of the photos from today.

The Mormon Temple and the Mormon Church Office Building. The Mormons now prefer to be called the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, which is the original name.

The Olympic Flame arrives at the Salt Lake City Olympic Flame Celebration. There were an estimated 60,000 people in attendance at this Celebration.

The Olympic Caldron on stage at the City Building at the Olympic Flame Celebration. After the Caldron was lit, Gadys Knight sang a song and the mayor of Salt Lake City Rocky Anderson spoke.
